## What is Shards?

Shards is a token launchpad on NEAR: anyone can create a token on one screen and buy it in one tap. Every coin pairs with NEAR, SHARDS, Zcash or a tokenized stock, ETF, metal fund or bond fund, and trades on its own bonding curve. When the curve sells out, the coins held back and the money raised seed a pool inside the same contract and the liquidity locks; trading continues at the last price paid.

Each launch sets a buy and sell tax, fixed forever. Shards keeps 20% of every tax and half of that buys SHARDS and burns it; the creator splits the other 80% between themselves, dividends paid to holders in the pair, a buyback that burns what it buys, and the pool. Supply only ever falls: everything is minted once, at launch.
