## What is Backpack Exchange?

Backpack is a licensed crypto exchange and self-custody wallet. Spot, perpetual futures and eligible tokenized US stocks share one cross-margin account, with yield paid on idle balances and open profit and loss.

The wallet keeps assets in the user's own custody and connects directly to the exchange, so funds can move between self-custody and trading in one product. Backpack is licensed in the EU, registered in the US and licensed in Dubai, with daily proof of reserves.
